Job summary

Housby Mack, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Diesel Technician for our service team. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites across the US to diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel vehicles per OEM guidelines, with minimal supervision.

The candidate should have at least 5 years of heavy-duty diesel experience, CDL A/B, and strong attention to detail. High school diploma or GED is required; the position offers a competitive hourly rate and full benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience on class 6-8 vehicles.
• Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school preferred or equivalent experience.
• Class A or B CDL required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read instructions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles at customer sites per OEM guidelines.
• Travel to various job sites across the US; work with minimal supervision.
• Perform inspections, identify parts to replace, and complete repairs within timelines.
• Document repair steps and time in the computer system.
• Maintain safety and professional image; engage with customers courteously.
