Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske rules and guidelines.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies must be followed.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and keeping vehicles safe for customers.
• Using Penske tools/technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance and component lubrication/parts replacement.
• Assisting with electrical system and cooling system maintenance on gas/diesel engines.
• Collaborating with manager for new skills through Penske training.
• Taking on other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
