Job summary

Penske in Frederick, MD is seeking a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a starting pay of $27.75 per hour, and opportunities for growth through Penske’s technician training program.

You will work with experienced technicians and supervisors, gaining hands-on experience with a variety of equipment and advanced maintenance technology in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and software to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., tire rotations) and lubrication/replacement of components on gas/diesel engines.
• Collaborate with supervisor to learn new skills via Penske technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Handle additional projects/tasks as assigned by supervisor.
