Key tasks include on‑the‑job training, hands‑on maintenance, and progression through Technician I/II tracks. This role starts with entry‑level responsibilities and growth within Ryder's safety‑driven shop

Qualifications

• Zero to one year mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or delivered to rental shop; fuel diesel, natural gas, and hybrid vehicles properly while adhering to shop safety policies.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units per company policies and procedures.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Attend and complete Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
