Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. You’ll receive weekly pay and a solid benefits package as you train to become a Ryder Diesel Mechanic Technician.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with weekends off and a second shift from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm. We offer sign-on bonuses, certification bonuses, quarterly bonuses, and comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage after 30 days, PTO from day one, and a generous 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older; English communication skills required.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into/out of yard, wash bay, or service shop.
• Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units per policy.
• Attend Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments.
