Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a skilled mechanic with experience diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty and light-duty trucks. You will work on gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems, including welding and fabrication as needed.

Role requires strong knowledge of suspension, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, plus the ability to interpret service manuals and estimate job times. CDL Class B is preferred within 12 months.

Qualifications

Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic system inspection/repair.
Ability to diagnose and repair using service manuals.
Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
Ability to assist and guide Assistant Technicians.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance to maximize safe operations.
Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in line with OSHA standards.
Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Performs repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
Maintains high standard of ethics and dependability.
