Covenant Logistics is seeking a Technician I to perform maintenance and repairs on class 8 equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and fix issues while ensuring safety and compliance.

A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered based on technician level at hire. The role requires a High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license, with the ability to lift heavy objects as part of tire mounting and repairs.

Qualifications

• Must own tools required for the role except those provided by the company.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and 95 lbs frequently for tire mounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within current skill level.
• Inspect equipment during repairs to determine if additional work is needed.
• Other related duties as required to meet company needs.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level.
• Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary
• Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Own the tools required to perform the position responsibilities of this level excluding those provided by the company
• Understand, communicate, read, and write the English language
• Ability to Lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license required
