Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Middleton, Wisconsin to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles, using state-of-the-art diagnostics and tooling. You will operate within a safety-focused, customer-ready environment and participate in a structured training program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable.
• Identifies root cause of basic failures and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the problem.
• Uses the Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
