Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Toledo, Ohio is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to join our team on the second shift.

You will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, diagnose issues, and work with modern diagnostics tools to ensure reliability. The role offers an hourly wage of $31.82 with a $1,250 sign-on bonus at 30 days and another at 90 days, plus quarterly and certification bonuses, paid training, PPE/uniforms, and tool/boot allowances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
• Experience in mechanical repair of diesel engines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT and company compliance guidelines.
• Performs other support duties to assist operations.
