Job summary

Ryder in Youngstown, OH is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles. The role offers a $27.50 hourly wage, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision after 30 days, plus PTO from day 1.

The position features a Mon-Fri schedule with weekends off and a second shift from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Bonuses include ASE certification up to $700, quarterly up to $500, and sign-on bonuses of $1,250 at 30 and 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Two+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and uses Shop Management System for documentation.
