Job summary

American Heritage Schools- Broward Campus is seeking a Diesel Technician to repair and maintain all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems on our bus fleet and other vehicles. The role reports to the Director of Transportation and ensures compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Primary duties include diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and servicing buses per Fleet Manager directives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician.
• ASE Certification preferred or equivalent.
• Experience with school bus and fleet maintenance is a plus.
• CDL class B preferred but not required; endorsements optional.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and AC systems on fleet.
• Build and assemble components to comply with laws and policies.
• Inspect engines, transmissions and run diagnostics to identify issues.
• Troubleshoot, perform maintenance, document activities and ensure reliability.
• Service and schedule buses for maintenance and manage fluids.
• Maintain inventory and respond to emergencies after hours.
