Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in McDonough, GA to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll use Penske’s tools and technologies to diagnose and complete repairs, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety policies (DOT/OSHA).
• Able to pass background checks, drug screen, and DOT requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance repairs and component lubrication, some electrical and cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with the manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
