Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is hiring a technician in Atlanta to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on our fleet. You will use Penske tools to diagnose and repair vehicles, while learning our maintenance processes and safety standards.

We offer training through Penske's technician programs and opportunities for growth, with a focus on safety, reliability, and working with a variety of OEM equipment at multiple locations in the Atlanta district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• DOT/OSHA safety compliance required.
• Willingness to travel within nearby geography for training.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs—like replacing or rotating tires—and lubrication/replacement of components, some electrical and cooling system work.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
