Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Diesel Technician to provide hands-on service on trucks and equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnostic work. You will read repair orders, perform general to detailed repairs on engines and components, and replace critical parts as needed.

The role requires a positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and a valid CDL/driver’s license. You will use a PC for basic tasks and participate in safety programs while contributing to a reliable fleet operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a diesel technician or in a similar role.
• Experience with medium and heavy duty trucks preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services
• Read Repair Orders and perform repair of trucks, engines and components
• Install and replace parts such as injectors, bearings, clutches, brakes, and transmissions
• Inspect safety devices, maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Drive repaired vehicles to verify conformance to specifications
