Job description

Position Description

The Service Technician is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining company-owned vacuum and dust collector equipment in the rental fleet, as well as servicing and repairing customer-owned vacuums and dust collectors. Common tasks include troubleshooting diesel and electric motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, clutch and drive systems, vacuum system components, and trailer parts. Equipment-specific training will be provided on the job.

Qualifications
  • Education: Industrial or diesel technician training
  • Experience: Diesel or industrial equipment service experience; welding experience is helpful. On-the-job training will be provided for equipment familiarization and servicing.
  • Travel: Occasional travel for service calls
Skills and Abilities
  • Problem Solving: Diagnosing issues with diesel and electric motors, vacuum systems, and executing repairs.
  • Product Knowledge: Gaining proficiency with various vacuum and dust collector models.
  • Flexibility: Adjusting priorities based on changing needs.
  • Communication: Respectful interaction and professional documentation of tasks.
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift over 50 lbs, work on ladders, and reach high places on equipment.
