Benefits and Compensation
- Hourly Pay: $35.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 Four times per year
- Sign On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 and 90 days
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, Weekends OFF
- Hours: First Shift 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Job Responsibilities
- Work on Heavy Duty Vehicles as a Maintenance Repair Mechanic.
- Complete all required OEM training and certifications.
- Perform vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems.
- Assist roadside breakdowns and perform facility maintenance.
- Mentor and coach other technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
- Basic tools required.
- Experience in automotive gas or diesel engine repair.
- Four or more years of relevant experience preferred.
- Valid CDL Class A preferred.
- All required certifications by location.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to perform all T3 tasks.
- Strong analytical and repair skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability for shift work, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Preferred ASE Certifications in PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics, or Master Mechanic.
- Proficiency with shop computers and diagnostic equipment.
- Minimum tool requirement.
- Ability to road test vehicles.
- Ability to coach and mentor others.
Additional Notes
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months.
- Pass Ryder drug, physical, background, and motor vehicle checks.
Responsibilities
- Complete OEM training and certifications.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and diagnostic repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and software effectively.
- Assist with roadside emergencies and facility maintenance.
- Mentor other technicians and support shop operations.
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines.
