Qualifications

  • 2+ years of diesel repair experience in a dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple systems including engines and transmissions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality repairs on Marine Diesel Engines as per manufacturer procedures.
  • Diagnose vessel failures by disassembling and reassembling parts.

Job description

Diesel Technician/Marine Engines Opportunity Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Marine Engine Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services on marine engines (yachts, personal, and/or commercial vessels), while making repair recommendations to customers.

Job Duties:

  1. Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard Marine Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  2. Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
  3. Diagnose failures of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  4. Adhere to all Company and industry safety standards.
  5. Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Proficiency with computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in using Caterpillar ET and SIS.
