Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced Technician I in Fort Pierce, FL to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a broad fleet. You will lead with expertise, mentor others, and work independently on major and minor repairs, including road tests to diagnose issues.

You will train with Penske’s advanced maintenance technology, log repairs, and participate in ongoing skill development, safety programs, and equipment handling across OEM vehicles.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred and ability to travel within the district.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials; replace assemblies as needed.
• Keep work area clean and organized; follow safety protocols.
• Use Penske tools to log, research, and complete repairs; conduct basic diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
