Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) seeks a Diesel Technician Lead to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. Lead technicians will guide teammates, perform diagnostic tests, and handle complex repairs to keep equipment safe and efficient.

You will work a Monday–Friday shift, 7 am–3:30 pm, with a safety-sensitive role focusing on quality and compliance, offering opportunities to mentor others and contribute to our maintenance program.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate.
Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred.
5+ years of professional experience as a diesel technician.
Excellent interpersonal, organization, logistics, math, and communication skills.
Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance problems.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Experienced with diagnostic computers.
Knowledge of working on trailers.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work well with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of forklift repair and maintenance is a plus.
Commercial Driver’s License is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform thorough DOT inspections and repairs on company vehicles and machines.
Use different hand tools and powered equipment to repair trucks while maintaining safety.
Diagnose malfunctions by inspecting, testing with diagnostic equipment and wiring diagrams, and perform repairs.
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
Diagnose and replace parts, valves, bearings, assemblies as needed.
Utilize diesel emissions knowledge to diagnose and repair issues.
Ensure parts meet factory specs by inspecting clearances and dimensions.
Other duties as assigned.
