Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Fleet Technician/Mechanic in Charlotte, NC to maintain and repair medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles. This role focuses on diagnostic work, safety inspections, and accurate documentation of repairs.

Candidates should have 5+ years of hands-on gas and diesel maintenance, own their tools, and be capable of working independently or in a team environment. DOT physical ability is expected if required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience performing gas and diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical if required for the role.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $40.00 – $48.00/hour (based on experience)Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every FridaySchedule: Monday - Friday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm or Tuesday - Saturday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
