Job summary

Penske in Alabaster, Alabama is hiring a Technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, helping customers stay on the road.

You’ll work with experienced mentors, learn Penske’s maintenance processes, and receive industry-certified training to grow your career.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license. Schedule: Tue–Sat, 1st shift at 185 Airpark Industrial Rd, Alabaster, AL 35007.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred; vocational/technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies, including basic diagnostics.
• Assist with tire rotations, lubrication, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Collaborate with the manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and coaching.
• Support other projects as assigned by supervisor.
