Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Technician in Romeoville, IL. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must comply with DOT/OSHA safety and Penske policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and ensures vehicles are safe for customers.
• Uses Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs—like tire rotations and lubrication, and some electrical system work.
• Partner with supervisor to learn new skills through Penske's training programs.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
