Job summary

P&S Transportation is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to diagnose, estimate, and repair complex electrical and mechanical tractor systems. The role involves following SOPs, performing rebuilds, and making safety-based decisions to keep equipment on the road.

The technician will use diagnostic software and Fleetio for work orders, support the shop leadership team, and coordinate with drivers and OEMs.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or certificate in diesel engines or related systems; 5+ years in the industry.
• Experience diagnosing electrical and engine problems, cab components, drive train and braking systems.
• Proficient with Windows-based computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical system issues on tractors.
• Perform routine PMs and repairs, document work orders and parts used.
• Communicate with drivers and internal teams on repair status and safety.
• May act as SME for warranty, training, and shop operations.
