Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Must follow DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies.
• Regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining vehicles and ensuring safety for customers.
• Using Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance and component lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel engines.
• Learning new skills through technician training and hands-on coaching with your manager.
• Working on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
