Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Bloomington, IN is seeking a mechanically inclined technician to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work with Penske’s tools, learn the maintenance process, and grow your skills through hands-on coaching.

Starting with a competitive salary, you will log repairs, perform basic diagnostics, rotate tires, and stay compliant with DOT/OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to follow safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicle safety for customers.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies.
• Perform preventative maintenance like tire rotation and lubrication.
• Work on electrical and cooling system maintenance as needed.
• Learn new skills through technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Contribute to other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
