Job summary

FleetPride in Pawtucket, RI seeks a Technician II to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose vehicle systems, and carry out repairs on class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers. You will work with a team in a non-climate controlled shop and maintain safety and productivity.

The role requires a Diesel Technology Associates degree and 3+ years of hands-on experience; you must bring your own hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs. Competitive hourly pay, with bonuses and good benefits.

Qualifications

Requires Diesel Technology Associates degree.
3+ years of experience with class 7 & 8 trucks.
Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox.

Responsibilities

Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
Provide customers with preventative maintenance solutions where appropriate.
Maintain 80% productivity and perform inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes and other components.
Test drive vehicles and diagnose system failures; troubleshoot suspension, electrical, exhaust, and climate control systems.
