Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance observed.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials); ASE/608/609 certifications preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools."
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers and fuel systems.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Handle additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
