Job summary

Penske is seeking an experienced Technician II for the Saint Joseph, MO area. You will perform major and minor repairs, lead road tests, and complete maintenance tasks independently while mentoring newer technicians.

You’ll work on a variety of OEM equipment and use Penske’s diagnostic tools. Our program offers ongoing training through Penske’s Technician Certification Program, a stable career path, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting major components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, and related components.
• Keep work area clean and safe and log/complete repairs using Penske tools.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and support the team.
