Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Batesville, IN is seeking a Technician to perform maintenance and repairs across a broad range of equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles, log work, and collaborate with teammates to meet safety and reliability standards.

You’ll receive training, work with advanced maintenance technology, and have opportunities for growth within a well‑established, OSHA-compliant shop environment. DOT/regulatory requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training in diagnosis/troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training, ASE Certification, 608/609 preferred.
• Experienced using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively.
• Customer service skills and the ability to work well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment.
• Diagnose and repair components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, and turbochargers.
• Log work and use Penske tools and technologies for repairs and diagnostics.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
