The role emphasizes independent work, ongoing training, and using Penske technologies to complete repairs with a focus on reliability and customer safety.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred).
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
