E.W. Wylie is seeking a Diesel Technician 2 in Arlington, WA to perform safe, timely repairs on Class 8 heavy‑duty equipment. You will conduct preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete complex repairs while documenting work and maintaining a clean shop environment.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic software experience, and a commitment to safety. On‑site schedule is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with competitive compensation and benefits.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent in diesel technology, automotive technology, or related field, plus four years in Class 8 heavy‑duty diesel maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Own a complete technician toolset to perform duties.
• Experience using diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to accurately complete repair orders and maintenance records.
• Degree or certification in diesel technology and 5+ years preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Preventative maintenance: perform scheduled services including oil changes, lubrication, APU service, heater service, filters, and more as directed by leadership.
• Complex repairs: diagnose and repair advanced issues including CCV valves, clutch, differential leaks, and other non‑internal engine repairs.
• Equipment diagnostics: use diagnostic software and tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Safety inspections: conduct annual DOT inspections and support pre/post‑seat inspections.
• Repair documentation: maintain repair orders, time logs, service records, notes, and parts usage in maintenance software.
• Shop maintenance: keep the shop clean and safe through routine cleaning.
• Team support: take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
