Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking an experienced truck technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic and body systems on heavy- and light-duty fleet.

Candidates should be proficient with diagnostic tools, able to estimate repair times, and willing to mentor junior technicians; ASE certification pursued or obtained is a plus, with ASE-related opportunities and benefit package.

Qualifications

Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools to interpret service manuals.
Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
Ability to guide assistants and technicians.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on trucks to maximize safety and productivity.
Communicate issues with managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
Complete all required paperwork timely and concisely.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
Utilize vehicle computer electronics to interpret failures and initiate repairs.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
