Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
• DOT/OSHA safety policies and Penske safety procedures must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske’s tools to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance such as tire rotation and lubrication; handle some electrical and cooling system work on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Take on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
