Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Technician I in Jamaica, NY. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet, with supervision as needed and opportunities to lead at the location.

Qualifications

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance services with little supervision and in a timely manner.
• Repairing and troubleshooting major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) and replacing assemblies as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Log, research and complete repairs using Penske tools and technologies.
• Learn Penske technician training programs.
