Job summary

Ziegler Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Technician for our St. Cloud location to diagnose and repair heavy diesel equipment across construction, agricultural, and truck segments.

The role is full-time with a daytime-to-evening shift pattern, emphasizing safety, documentation, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications include a 2-year diesel technology degree or equivalent experience, plus strong mechanical skills, tool ownership, and basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical college degree in diesel technology or equivalent.
• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of comparable shop experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, electrical and fuel systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment including heavy construction and agricultural machinery.
• Document work orders timely to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work safely and follow company policies and standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians on troubleshooting repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge.
