Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work to exceed customer expectations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety and quality throughout every repair.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with trade school or mechanic experience, willingness to learn, and ability to work unsupervised with flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma or GED and relevant trade school or mechanic experience.
• Willingness to expand knowledge through education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results; develop a repair plan and communicate it to the Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and other mechanical or electrical equipment; complete repairs safely, effectively and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Recommends other TA services with customer as part of inspection review process.
• Maintain the safety of both our customers and employees.
