Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED along with related trade/tech training or hands-on mechanic experience. You must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. We offer benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade or manufacturer’s tech school or mechanic experience preferred.
• Willingness to expand knowledge via education and training programs.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers following service procedures.
• Perform diagnostics, interpret results, and communicate repair plans to the Service Advisor.
• Repair malfunctioning parts and electrical/mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Promote TA services during inspection reviews with customers.
• Ensure safety of customers and employees at all times.
