Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an experienced mechanic to maintain and repair trucks and trailers, ensuring equipment is ready for operation. You will work with other mechanics and supervisors on diagnostics, replacements, and routine servicing.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and accurate documentation while using a shop management system to track work orders and repairs for a fast-paced fleet environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of mechanic, maintenance, or related experience.
• Certification and/or License – Mechanic certification, CDL license, refrigeration license, or other relevant certifications or licenses may be required.

Aufgaben

• Perform basic vehicle and preventive maintenance, component replacements, and minor repairs.
• Repair and inspect brakes, steering, springs, tires, and related systems as needed.
• Perform facility and shop maintenance duties.
• Use shop management system and other electronic systems available.
• Diagnose minor mechanical and electronic problems with diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Identify root cause of minor failures and perform repairs as required.
• Interact with drivers to determine nature of complaints.
• Operate safely and in compliance with DOT regulations and SOPs.
• Complete work orders and paperwork promptly with high quality standards.
