Job summary

Russ Hadick & Associates is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join a professional fleet maintenance operation. This hands‑on role focuses on diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance on heavy‑duty trucks and fleet vehicles.

Ideal candidates have formal diesel technology training, a valid CDL A or B with P and S endorsements, and at least two years of relevant experience; DOT medical certification is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training in diesel technology or equivalent vocational program.
• Minimum two years of experience with heavy‑duty trucks, buses, or fleet vehicles.
• CDL Class A or B with P and S endorsements or ability to obtain them.
• DOT medical certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate mechanical, electrical, and operational problems to determine repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to prevent downtime.
• Work on diesel and gasoline engines and related components.
• Diagnose electrical, braking, suspension, and climate-control systems.
• Read wiring diagrams and service information to locate faults.
