Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a skilled Technician in Decatur, AL to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet. You will log work, use diagnostic tools, and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.

The role offers training, career growth, and shift options, with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer service. A valid license and basic repair experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; ability to use Penske tools and safety equipment.
• Good customer service and communication skills; able to work with a team and outdoors.
• Must understand and comply with DOT/OSHA safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles to keep them safe.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to diagnose and repair vehicles, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform tire rotations, lubrication, cooling system maintenance, and select electrical tasks.
• Collaborate with the manager to learn new skills through Penske's training program.
• Take on additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
