Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience.
• Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must understand and comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies and DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety for customers.
• Log repairs and research/complete repairs using Penske tools, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., tire rotations) and basic component lubrication/replacement.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
