Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and the ability to use tools safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to work in a team and outdoors.
• Must understand and comply with Penske policies including safety and DOT/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs like tire rotation and lubrication, plus some electrical and cooling system work on gas/diesel engines.
• Work with your manager to learn new skills through Penske's technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Take on other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
