Job summary

Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, part of Lithia & Driveway, seeks a Diesel Technician to perform engine and diesel repairs with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will be paid according to production and receive factory training to grow skills while supporting a customer-first culture.

A valid driver’s license and diesel experience are preferred, with comprehensive benefits available. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork within a supportive Lithia environment that values

Qualifications

Prior automotive repair experience preferred (diesel experience strongly preferred).
ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus.
Strong team player with a customer-first mindset.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately per repair orders and standards.
Diagnose diesel and engine system malfunctions.
Road-test vehicles to verify quality and completeness of repairs.
Document work performed, test procedures and results, and time according to clocking procedures.
Maintain an inventory of required hand and power tools.
