Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our Truck Service team, a nationwide network of skilled technicians across 280 locations. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers, delivering professional service to keep travelers on the road.

In this role you will diagnose wear conditions and, with TSA or manager, make recommendations to customers, complete repairs within capability, and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in repair or parts shop preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose wear conditions and, together with TSA or Manager, make recommendations to customers.
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.
