Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Diesel Technician to service customer vehicles and perform comprehensive repairs. Responsibilities include engine overhaul, part installation, and precise troubleshooting with manuals. Emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid driver license with insurability.
• CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, batteries, and transmissions.
• Read job orders to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive to verify specifications.
• Tag warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep up with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase satisfaction.
