Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking an experienced diesel truck technician in Southaven, MS.

You will diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including CNG and hybrid platforms. Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system inspection, diagnosis and repair.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from service manuals.
• Ability to complete work within suggested repair times (SRTs) and estimate time and materials.
• Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to assistant technicians and shop helpers.
• CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs on equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area per corporate and OSHA standards.
• Utilizes diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs repairs using factory service manuals.
• Maintains high standard of ethics and dependability.
