I. General Job Description

This position will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all types of commercial trucks and equipment while working out of a fully equipped mobile service truck. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing all vehicles and equipment serviced by the Company’s facilities, performing with the highest degree of professional competence, and ensuring quality work, product knowledge, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs within estimated time per industry standards.
• Grow and maintain the customer base.
• Perform DOT inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, charging, starting systems, engine, HVAC, powertrain, and chassis components.
• Diagnose and remove injectors, cylinder heads, camshafts, main bearings, rod bearings, and transmission/clutch components.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, software, and technical publications to determine root causes and repair solutions.
• Maintain service truck, tooling, and parts inventory.
• Document work thoroughly to support complaints, causes, and corrections.
• Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and foster relationships.
• Report deferred repairs to customers and service administration.
• Be available after hours and on alternate days as needed.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 4 years of dealer experience as a Diesel/Service Technician.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with a qualified MVR abstract.
• Minimum tool requirements (see below).

III. Desired Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in a truck dealership or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service skills.

V. Physical Demands and Work Environment
