Job summary

Colonial Group in Vermont is seeking a Diesel Technician to service trucks and equipment, including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic work. You will read repair orders and perform repairs on engines and components, install parts, inspect safety devices, and drive tested vehicles to verify repairs.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of diesel tech experience, a valid driver's license, and a full set of tools.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude.
• 1-2 years minimum experience as a Medium/Heavy Diesel Technician.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must possess a full set of personal hand tools.
• Certificate programs in diesel/auto repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service on vehicles and equipment including troubleshooting, electrical and diagnostic services.
• Read Repair Orders and perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines, and components.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, etc. and replace transmissions and other parts.
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed; drive repaired vehicle to verify repairs.
• Maintain a neat, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
