Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems in trucks, buses, heavy equipment, or other diesel-powered vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include PM services, diagnostic work, and maintaining accurate records in a dynamic shop setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or diesel mechanic certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as a diesel technician or similar role.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics; proficient with diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper repair and functionality.
• Maintain service records and repair documentation.
• Order parts and assist inventory management as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate repairs and timelines to customers.
