Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid Level Diesel Technician in Dallas, TX. The role offers hourly pay of $26.00 and a schedule of Monday–Friday with weekends off, first shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles, diagnostics, and safety compliance. Qualifications emphasize diesel engine repair, preventive maintenance, and a CDL Class A (preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines including routine preventive maintenance.
• Must have 2+ years of related experience or classroom training in the field.
• CDL Class A license preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems and uses diagnostic tools as needed.
• Replaces defective components and performs preventive maintenance.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Operates Shop Management System and documents work performed.
